Sri Lalita Sahasranama is a thousand names of Rajarajeshwari Devi Sri Lalita Mahatripur Sundari described in Brahmanda Purana which was written by Vagdevis themselves and was first preached to Agastya Rishi by Hayagriva, an incarnation of Vishnu. This stotra describes the various qualities, powers and forms of the Goddess. In Hinduism, chanting and remembering the names of the deities holds special importance to receive their blessings. That is why the recitation of Shatanam, Trishati and Sahasranama etc. of the deities in our scriptures holds great importance.
